[question]What is the difference between the various LightAir IonFlow models?

[answer]All LightAir IonFlow models are exactly the same in operation and capacity. The only difference is in the design.

[question]Can the lights also be turned off?

[answer]Customers sometimes think that the blue light in the foot is UV light, but that is not the case. The light has no function and is only a design feature. You can turn the light off with the switch. Pay attention to the light on the top of the ionizer to see if the device is still on.

[question]How do I know if it works?

[answer]I don't hear anything so how do I know if the device is working? That is a question we often hear. There are a few checks you can perform yourself to test if the air purifier is working properly.

1. Is the collector of your LightAir air purifier static?
This is actually the best indication of whether your air purifier is working properly. When you turn on the Lightair IonFlow air purifier, you should feel a small shock when the collector of the air purifier touches. If this is not the case, you will know this immediately because the collector will no longer attract dirt.

If the collector of your air purifier is not static, first check if the collector is resting properly on the iron pin that holds the collector in place, if the plug is properly inserted into the socket and if both power wires are properly connected in the switch. If all this is properly connected, but the collector is still not static, please contact us to return the LightAir air purifier to us so that we can check it for you.

2. Do you feel a slight airflow at the corona needles?
The corona needles are located at the top of the ionizer in the standing air purifier models and at the bottom of the ionizer in the hanging air purifier. You should feel a light breeze at the needles. With one hand on the collector, this effect is amplified and a so-called ion storm is created. Please note: this is only a gentle breeze, a fresh air flow. For example, if you hold a piece of paper above the needles, it will not move. The air flow is not strong enough for that. You can feel it best if you moisten your hand a little or hold your nose just above the corona needles.

[question]Protective cover or not?

[answer]We supply a protective cap with your LightAir IonFlow air purifier. The collector becomes static and gives a small shock when you touch it. If you find this annoying or if you want to protect pets or children from this, you can place the protective cap around the collector. In other cases we would advise not to use the protective cap.

[question]How do I install the LightAir air purifier?

[answer]Assemble the various parts, plug it into the socket, switch on the air purifier and you're done!

When placing the Lightair IonFlow air purifier, make sure that it is at least one meter away from walls, furniture and metal objects. The Lightair IonFlow air purifier has a static collector that attracts dirt particles. If the air purifier is too close to walls or furniture, (light) dirt deposits can form on them. Any deposits can easily be removed with a cloth and some cleaning agent, provided that it is a smooth, washable surface. Incidentally, it does not matter for the operation if the air purifier is closer to a wall. The advice only concerns the prevention of deposits.

When installing an air purifier, always ensure adequate ventilation.
